Position Summary:
The Accountant I reports to the Controller and performs various accounting tasks to include, but is not limited to, processing accounts payable (AP) invoices according to established policies, payroll as the primary back-up, basic general ledger entries, inventory account reconciliations, data requests for cash forecasts, budgets, and performs GL account audits and preparing monthly work-paper reconciliations, etc.
This position is fast-paced with duties that vary depending on organizational need. The ideal candidate is someone who is energetic, enjoys the field of accounting, is naturally inquisitive, demonstrates initiative and enjoys variety in their work. They are exceptionally organized with a mind-set that they are proud of their work product and their details.

The employee must be able to physically travel by air within, and out of, the State of Alaska.
